The Germantown Festival is making a comeback after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, celebrating its 49th year this weekend. The free event will be hosted at the Germantown Civic Club Complex from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, regardless of the weather. Attendees can take advantage of free shuttle services from designated parking areas, including the Germantown Athletic Club and Germantown Church of Christ, to reach the festival grounds.
A highlight of the festival is the "Running of the Weenies," where dachshunds race for prizes, along with a Best Dressed Hot Dog contest. Food lovers will enjoy a diverse selection, featuring 22 vendors offering everything from lobster to pizza, and there will also be beer and coffee stands available.
